Most people trying to lose weight, try different methods that experts say is the best thing since sliced bread. Who’s idea was sliced bread anyways? And why isn’t it sliced Bananas instead?…. lets look at the 2 methods used today:

(1) Instead of eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner, some say to eat five or six times a day. This works out to munching on something every couple hours. The purpose was to ensure hunger is satiated to prevent feeling famished at each meal and to help the body not store the excess as much because it knows that more is to come. It basically means eating all day long and never feeling hungry.

(2) Others say that it’s better to eat when you are hungry. This is the concept of mindful eating. Every time you go to put something in your mouth, ask yourself if you are hungry and then eat only enough until you feel satisfied but not stuffed or tired from eating too much.

What is the best method may depend on the person or for some a combination of these methods would be better. The trick is to have a plan that you feel that you can stick to beyond just loosing a few pounds and going back to old habits. When you are conscience of the food/fuel intake and do something proactive with exercise you can have success.
